Dashboard

Your central hub for key metrics, attention items, and quick actions in Royalties HQ.

The Dashboard is your home screen in Royalties HQ. After logging in, you’ll land here to see an overview of your publishing business, items needing attention, and quick access to common actions.

Key metrics

At the top of the Dashboard, you’ll find key metrics giving you a snapshot of your account:

  • Active Titles – The total number of active titles in your catalogue
  • Rights Holders – The total number of rights holders in your system
  • In-Progress Runs – Royalty runs that are currently being processed

Attention needed

The Attention Needed section highlights items that require your action. These are displayed with clear badges to help you prioritise:

  • Missing Products – Sales for ISBNs/ASINs not yet in the system. These are sales lines that couldn’t be matched to a product in Royalties HQ.
  • Unconverted Batches – Sales batches that haven’t been linked to publisher income yet
  • Unpaid Bills – Bills that are still awaiting payment
  • Failed Runs – Royalty runs that encountered errors during processing

Incomplete Royalty Runs

This section shows royalty runs that still need work. Each run displays status badges indicating:

Payment status:

  • Paid – All bills have been paid
  • Part-paid – Some bills have been paid
  • No bills – The royalty run has no bills (shown as a green badge)

Statement status:

  • Sent – All statements have been sent to rights holders
  • Part-sent – Some statements have been sent
  • Not sent – Statements are ready but haven’t been sent yet

Upcoming Royalty Runs

Royalties HQ predicts your upcoming royalty runs based on historical patterns. This helps you plan ahead and ensures you don’t miss any royalty periods.

The predictions are based on:

  • Your titles’ royalty period settings (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.)
  • Previous royalty run dates
  • Royalty period start months

Sales Batches Awaiting Income Payments

This section lists sales batches that have been uploaded but not yet linked to publisher income. Linking sales to income is essential for accurate currency conversion and royalty calculations.

Top Earning Titles

See which titles are generating the most royalties:

  • All time – Cumulative earnings since you started using Royalties HQ
  • Last 6 months – Recent performance to spot trends

Top Earning Rights Holders

See which rights holders have earned the most:

  • All time – Total royalties earned
  • Last 6 months – Recent earnings

Recently Added

Keep track of recent additions to your account:

  • Recently Added Titles – New titles added to your catalogue
  • Recently Added Rights Holders – New rights holders added to your system

Quick Actions

The Quick Actions sidebar provides fast access to common tasks:

  • Add a new title
  • Add a new rights holder
  • Import sales data
  • Create a royalty run
  • And more…

These shortcuts help you quickly perform frequent actions without navigating through menus.
